Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are some of my favorite places I’ve never been to! We’ll soon be off to Cape Cod for a week and have day trips planned to both islands…can’t wait! My friend Tessa of Nine+Sixteen Home recently wrote a blog?post on planning the perfect day trip to Nantucket and I find it to be of great help. In the meantime, all I can do is daydream and share with you some of the beauty of Nantucket and the Vineyard. I know that there are many larger homes on these islands but I prefer the charming, more humble-looking ones. The smaller and older cottages have always been more interesting?to me. And since white picket fences overflowing with roses and hydrangeas seem to be the standard on Nantucket, I’ll have my camera lenses cleaned and ready.?Any tips on taking?breathtaking pictures? ??

Happy Wednesday!?

Your pic looks like the little grey cottage I have rented in Cape Cod in September. Planning day trips to Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket also. Please share your favorites! I haven’t been there since our honeymoon 30 years ago!

Could you give me a suggestion as to where to stay on the Cape?

Hi, Kate! It will be our first time visiting this part of the country so I can’t whole heartedly recommend any place before we actually get to stay there, but I’ll let you know where, and if we loved it, when we get back! Our plan is to split our time between Boston, Provincetown and Hyannis and from there take ferries to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. xo, Eva
